The INSEAD community isn’t just the one on our campuses. It’s alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends. It’s over 60,000 people spread across the globe. When you receive that acceptance letter, you are a part of the community. And it’s almost impossible to bring everyone into one room. So how do you get everyone together to participate?
How do you get close to 60,000 members of the INSEAD community from 175 countries to achieve the common goal?
INSEAD is proud and excited to launch The Campaign for INSEAD: A Force for Good!
Deep-rooted in INSEAD’s mission, The Campaign will accelerate our capacity to develop leaders who will shape a new role for business by embedding societal needs in corporate goals.
The Campaign goal of €250million will enable us to broaden our reach and deepen our impact through scholarships, research, innovative teaching and state-of-the-art facilities. It will uphold our distinctive values, vision and ambitious ventures. Every contribution supports INSEAD’s work to harness business as a force for good.
On 5 October, INSEAD first launched The Campaign with The Force for Good Conference on our campus in Fontainebleau and a Campaign Launch celebration that evening at the Château de Fontainebleau.
The Conference included a powerful keynote speech by Paul Polman, CEO of Unilever and the official inauguration of The Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society along with panel discussions, breakout sessions and more.
The day ended with over 800 alumni coming together to celebrate not just the Europe launch, but also the first launch of The Campaign for INSEAD.
This was followed by a second launch on 10 November in Singapore. Combined with the INSEAD Alumni Forum 2018, the Asia launch was a two-day event that saw over 700 alumni come together to support INSEAD’s goal.
Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr. Chan Chun Sing, delivered an inspiring keynote to the audience, encouraging them to be a part of INSEAD’s journey towards a better future, “You are from INSEAD, and if you are from INSEAD, you can do it!”
Today, we have reached almost 60% of our Campaign goal with the help of over 11,500 members of the INSEAD community.
We’re excited to see what the future holds and we hope you’ll join us. The Campaign ends in 2023. But we hope the impact lasts forever.
As Dean Ilian Mihov said, “If not us, who? If not now, when?”
The Middle East launch of The Campaign will take place in Dubai on 24 February 2019. We look forward to seeing you there!
