In 2022, we welcomed over 7,600 MBA alumni and friends back to the Europe campus
The year 2022 was an exceptional one for MBA class reunions. For the first time in the history of INSEAD, thousands of alumni and their families came back to Fontainebleau to be Together Again for a whopping 57 class reunions! Why so many in just one year? The pandemic had forced the school to postpone class reunions for the last two years, leaving many of our alumni deeply missing the chance to reconnect with their classmates.

Starting in June, the Europe campus was bustling with a flurry of activity. Hundreds of dedicated staff members were working hard to prepare a record-breaking seven reunions over the course of four months that would see over 7,600 MBA alumni and friends return to campus. The classes attending their reunions spanned from 5-years to 60-years out, with partners, kids and even grandkids in tow.
A special highlight was the three MBA’60 alumni who returned for their 60-year reunion, illustrating how an INSEAD experience remains an unforgettable part of one’s life, regardless of the passage of time. Needless to say, emotions ran high as our alumni were finally able to rekindle their friendships, some after decades apart, over the course of a 3-day reunion designed to bring them Together Again.

Alumni were spoilt for choice with a plethora of events and activities lined up – from plenary sessions with the Deans to thought-leadership faculty sessions, as well as class meetings and photoshoots, friendly rugby matches, scrumptious barbecues, networking activities, galas and, of course, the famous Summer Ball.

Our alumni are a Force for Good
Reunions are also a great opportunity to discover how fellow alumni are carrying the torch of INSEAD’s enduring vision and campaign, Business as a Force for Good. From integrating the Sustainable Development Goals into their businesses to walking the talk on gender equity in the workplace, INSEAD alumni embody the Force for Good spirit as agile business leaders who are helping to shape a better future.

Class gifts make a difference
Alumni who are in their reunion year are invited to donate as part of their class gift campaign. Reunion giving is used to support the school and gifts can be made towards any INSEAD cause in order to make the greatest impact. Alumni fund volunteers help with their class fundraising efforts and motivate their classmates to support the school.

INSEAD Alumni Reunions bringing people Together Again
This year, for example, the classes of MBA’81 and MBA’97D have each raised over €900,000, with the aim to raise €1 million apiece by December 31st, 2022. In total, the 57 classes who came together for their reunions this year have contributed more than €9.5 million in their respective class gift campaigns – and, with some of these classes still actively fundraising, their impact will only continue to grow!
